Grass-fed beef, the way Mother Nature intended.

All of our beef is sold by the whole, half or quarter directly to customers in the fall.  Please call for availability as early in the season as you can.  All of our beef sells out.  Please contact us as soon as you can.

Some of our customers will split a half between two or more households.

You will get approximately one-third roasts, one-third steaks and one third hamburger.

All of our meat is cut by a professional butcher to your specifications.  The meat is hung for up to two weeks, vacuum sealed and flash frozen to assure the highest quality.  Packaging is done to accommodate your family size.

You will need a stand-alone freezer for your beef.

All of our meat is custom cut to your preference.  We can even have them processed for large cookouts.

Please call or email if you are interested.

We also have pork & lamb available.  Please ask for more details.

Longmeadows Farm’s beef is grass-fed.  There are many health benefits to grass-fed beef.

· It is lower in fat and calories then grain-fed beef and has less fat per serving then commercially raised chicken.

· Our meats are organically grown using only sustainable practices.

· Our animals are all natural and contain no antibiotics, hormones or steroids.

· All of our meat is grown and finished on the farm.

· Grass-fed beef has three times more omega-3 fatty acids than commercial raised beef.  These ‘good fats’ have been shown to prevent cancer and heart attacks and are an essential nutrient for all the bodies’ functions.

· Grass-fed beef is the highest known source of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).  CLA is another ‘good fat’ that is a remarkable defense against all types of cancer.

· Grass-fed beef is very high in vitamin E.  Vitamin E prevents heart disease and cancer and may have some anti-aging effects associated with it.  Most Americans are deficient in Vitamin E.

· Grass-fed beef has more Vitamin A and Beta-carotene then conventionally raised beef.

· Finally, grass-fed beef is free of Mad Cow Disease.  The health effects from grass-fed beef are many and scientists are still researching the true magnitude of its benefits.
